today and cool bands

Today is the greatest....
Really? No, but I love that song. For some reason I've been thinking a lot about Smashing Pumpkins lately. They're pretty great in my opinion. Finding cool bands like them make me happy I like to try and listen to the music my heroes do. I have to thank Gerard Way for informing me about Smashing Pumpkins.
Another great group that I listen to because someone I admire is The Bouncing Souls. They're just awesome. The Gold Song is really great. My favorite song by them just in case you wanted to know. I definitely recomend listening to them. I have Frank Iero to thank for that.
Another Gerard Way band I like is Iron Maiden. Their songs are just fantastic. Even my Dad likes them (oh and speaking of my Dad, I've thought of another cool group. I will mention them later). Aces High is Gerard's favorite song (or so I heard).
Iron Maiden has great story telling in their songs and I really like the lead singers voice.
Okay, the last group I can think of is one my Father introduced me to. They're called Collective Soul. They're music is different from most of the stuff I listen to. I'd describe it as a more classic rock type sound than my normal taste. It's good though. Some of my favorite songs are: Energy, and Why pt.2, and She Said.
Okie dokie. That's it. This isn't really what I expected to write about but oh well. This is probably just slightly more interesting than my day so far. Which I'll probably blog about later anyway.
